Page Views
How does page view licensing work?
Google Maps API Premier annual license, included with GMaps Plugin Bundle, is licensed with a pre-determined number of annual page views. You are permitted to use up your page views during the year license term, which is renewed annually with Centigon Solutions.
What is a Page View?
Annual Page Views
Google Maps Premier is licensed on a annual page view basis, granting the most flexibility to deploy to any user group behind your organization's firewall or on a secured website. When a SWF containing a GMaps Plugin component is initialized on a client computer, it will establish a connection with Google Premier immediately and at that time register a single page view. Any further interactions within the mapping interface will NOT count as additional page views. These interactions include:
- Panning
- Zooming
- Swapping data points via SWF connectivity
- Displaying or hiding data points
- Showing and hiding the map via dynamic visibility
Only when the browser is refreshed or reloaded and the SWF file re-initializes will an additional page view be counted.
What if I run out of page views?
If you use your page views prior to the annual renewal, you renew your license early to obtain additional page views using the standard GMaps Plugin Bundles (25K 100K or 250K annual page views). The additional page views are licensed as a renewal and will follow the same annual pricing and licensing as a regular annual renewal.
If I run out, will my dashboards stop working?
Absolutely not. You monthly page views are available for monitoring at http://support.centigonsolutions.com and we will alert you when you are under 5,000 page views remaining. Our sales and support team will work with your organization to ensure there is no interruption to your business users and stakeholders at anytime; one of the benefits of working directly with Centigon Solutions' trained staff of experts.
Do I loose my page views if I do not use them?
Once your annual license is renewed, you unfortunately do not get to carry over un-used page views from the previous license term. |
